Health & Fitness Initiative: Whole30 and Kayla Itsine's Bikini Body Workout

7:13:00 PM

It's time to RESET!

Why now?  No, I don't want to lose weight.  I've been the same weight +/- 8 lbs since I was 16.  But since I moved to Seattle last year I haven't worked out consistently.  I walk 5-10 miles/day with my Fitbit, but I don't feel as toned.  I don't feel as energized.  I don't feel as strong.

In the past I've done the Kayla Itsine's Bikini Body Workout off and on for a week or so at a time.  I saw noticeable results even with no consistency.  And it only takes 30 minutes/day.  Its meal plan had too many options though. I need simple.

That brings me to Whole30.  I've seen a bunch of people posting this lifestyle on Instagram.  The focus isn't the number on the scale, which I appreciate.  It seemed simple-- veggies, fruit, meat, eggs, and some nuts.  No fancy combinations.  No counting calories.  No expensive supplements. I can do that.

So I figured, why not combine these two power plans?

What are my goals?

1. Tone up
2. Improved hair, nails, skin, and teeth
3. Run 4 miles without walking
4. Reduce cravings for sugar and diet soda
5. Stick to something for 30 days (I'm aiming for 40 days) without giving in.  **No doubt my biggest challenge**

Wish me luck!

Dylan
