The Mall of America is my second home in Minnesota. I visit MOA at least 1 day per week, usually to meet up with friends for an afternoon of perusing the 520+ shops. I missed this place like I missed an old friend when I went away to college in Virginia. There is something comforting about the routine of my frequent MOA trips. I often lose myself in the place. When I go to MOA with certain friends (ehem, Britnie) we tend to lose track of time, letting 4-5 hours pass by without a glance at our cell phones to realize that the mall is closing. Anyways, yesterday was my first trip back and I got to meet up with one of my best friends, Heidi (see the picture to the right). We did some damage. It was nothing severe, however, and I have plans to return to my beloved MOA tomorrow with Britnie. Check out this mini-haul, though these pictures do NOT do the items justice, so I may do a short video.
Forever 21-- Shimmering Teardrop Earrings - $6.80
(I couldn't decide on the color, so I went with the peach/gold as advised by Heidi, but I think I may get the other pair tomorrow, too!) They are over 3" so I envision wearing these WITHOUT a necklace, but with a lower neckline and some bare shoulders or a messy summer updo.
Question: Which color do YOU like better?
This model honestly does not do this dress justice. I envision it styled with lighter, creamier accessories and shoes rather than the dark clunky accessories and shoes chosen. Think "Creamy Dreamsicle" rather than "Halloween." For example, I'd pair it with the peach/gold earrings above and some nude or metallic wedges.
Cotton On- Lauren Jersey Dress in Methyl Blue AND Black- $10 each
Yes, I bought the dress in two colors-- they were just that cute. Unfortunately they are no longer on the website. I really like the blue-- it's almost cerulean blue. The dress also came in a bright canary yellow, but the look on Heidi's face suggested it wasn't "my color."
